Calling all Small Handers and Ambassadors! Check out these Compassion Missions being led by our Green Hope High School SHBHU Club Ambassador Teens!

SHBHU Impact Proposal

  • How does your Compassion Project contributes to impacting the core mission of Small Hands Big Hearts United? This Compassion Project with Durham Rescue Mission will help support the members of the homeless shelters in our community live a better life.
  • What are the names of at least 2 of your recruited team members and the name of your designated Lead Parent?  Has your parent registered you as an official SHBHU family on the website? www.shbhu.org. Two of our recruited team members are Nina (Co-president) and Susmitha (Vicepresident). Mrs. Alabaugh is our designated Lead advisor. Both of the Co-Presidents (Nina and Xiye) are official SHBHU ambassador.
  • Will you be using the monthly SHBHU meetings to meet with others and work towards the success of your final goal? When are you available during the week for a Compassion Meeting to present your proposal. Yes, we will be using the monthly SHBHU meetings to share with others about our compassion projects.
  • What are factors that may hinder your project’s success? What plan do you have to avoid these barriers? This Compassion Project will be held mostly in our school, and there are no factors that may hinder our project’s success.
  • What other partnering organizations or nonprofits, if any, will be participating in this Compassion Project? Red Cross will be participating in this Compassion Projection with SHBHU.
  • What kind of supplies or tools would the program need? This Compassion Project will need boxes in order to pack all the clothes together; however, we will be able to supply the boxes ourself.
  • What is your Operating Budget (amount of funds you will need) for the Compassion Project?  There are no operating budget needed for this Compassion Project.
  • What are factors that may cause an increase in operational cause of the program during any phase of the Compassion Project? There are no factors may cause an increase in operational cause of the program during any phase of the Compassion Project.
  • How do you plan on delivering collected items or funds to the people or organization you are raising money for? We plan to deliver boxes of clothings by cars to the designated drop off location of Durham Rescue Mission (1201 East Main Street Durham, NC 27701)

SHBHU Impact Proposal

  • How does your Compassion Project contributes to impacting the core mission of Small Hands Big Hearts United? Our compassion project with Food Bank of North Carolina is dedicated to help anyone in Central and Eastern North Carolina who lack access to nutritious food. This compassion project will help to build healthier and food secure communities as well as raising awareness and increase the public passion to end hunger.
  • What are the names of at least 2 of your recruited team members and the name of your designated Lead Parent?  Has your parent registered you as an official SHBHU family on the website? Two of our recruited team members are Nina (Co-president) and Susmitha (Vice president).   • What other partnering organizations or nonprofits, if any, will be participating in this Compassion Projects?There are no partnering organizations or nonprofits participating in this Compassion Project.
  • What kind of supplies or tools would the program need? The Compassion Project requires boxes for packaging food items, but we will be able to provide it ourselves.
  • What is your Operating Budget (amount of funds you will need) for the Compassion Project? We plan to have fundraisers at our school where people can donate the most needed items according to the Food Bank of NC. Therefore, there is no need for any operating budget for this Compassion Project.
  • What are factors that may cause an increase in operational cause of the program during any phase of the Compassion Project? Since this is a simple Compassion Project held mostly at our school, there are no factors that may cause an increase in operational cause of the program during any phase of the Compassion Project.
  • How do you plan on delivering collected items or funds to the people or organization you are raising money for? Once all the food items have been collected from fundraisers, we will find a specific date to deliver the food items in boxes by cars to Durham – Administrative Office and Distribution Center (2700 Angier Avenue, Suite A, Durham, NC 27703)
