We now officially have the names and ages of 129 children this year at Dove Youth Development in the Dominican Republic. Message SHBHU at info@shbhu.org or BELOW if you are interested in decorating\, packing writing letters and/or donating any items for the SHOEBOXES of LOVE!\n\nDove Missions Youth Center in Puerto Plata\, Dominican Republic serves 160+ Dominican and Haitian children and their families every year who are living in extreme poverty. They provide educational services\, school supplies (including uniforms) \, extra curricular activities\, and food for the student’s families. Each December\, SHBHU families provide each child with a shoe box filled with gifts\, hygiene items\, sweet treats\, school supplies and a personal letter labeled especially for each child! You will receive the specific name and age of the child which makes for a personal and loving touch.  This is often the only gift they will receive and puts a huge smile on their face! It truly fills them with hope and love. Will your Ambassadors and Small Handers pack with love and decorate a shoe box or two or three?  Email us at info@shbhu.org if you can help pack some shoeboxes of love!

SUMMARY:Serving Smiles at Oak City Cares
DESCRIPTION:Join SHBHU on the fourth Sunday of every month serving meals with a smile to those experiencing homelessness in the Downtown Raleigh area. OCC is the result of many organizations working together in an effort to help close the hunger gap! SHBHU volunteers will bring food\, drinks\, take home snacks and paper products to help support those in need. Volunteers arrive at OCC at 12:00pm to help set up the food line and we are usually finished cleaning up about 2:30pm. Volunteers will receive an email a couple days prior with specifics on what to bring with them. Any age can volunteer and serve with a smile! \nThey are still requiring masks be worn inside.
