Ambassador Director Maylea – One Doorstep at a Time Food Drive – Backpack Buddies

Ambassador Director Maylea is leading a GREAT Compassion Mission to help other children and teens in need. You will be able to join her in MANY ACCESSIBLE WAYS (see volunteer opps below) in her UPCOMING ODAAT in partnership with the Athens Drive Magnet High School Backpack Buddies program!

This program serves approximately 30 Athens Drive students who otherwise would not have food during non-school days. The program discretely distributes backpacks filled with food each Friday. The backpacks are returned empty on Monday and then reused each week. Please consider registering on the SHBHU website to be a partner drop off location, donate food, time, or money to her school’s Backpack Buddies program. Detailed information below on ways you can participate.

These Lead Ambassador Directors need help PICKING UP FOOD DONATIONS placed on FRONT DOORSTEPS per request on February 25^th at 3:00pm. (VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY)

You may also drop your bag off before or after that time if you will be out of town or busy this weekend until March 2nd at The Lambeth Family’s home. (VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY) Items needed and Drop off addressed below.

Pop tarts, instant oatmeal, individual boxes of cereal, granola bars, soup, pasta, Spaghetti O’s, Easy Mac, Hormel meals, Chef Boyardee, tuna fish cans, chicken breast cans, peanut butter crackers, cheese crackers, pretzels, chips, popcorn, applesauce, trail mix, peanut butter, protein bars, cans of fruit and cans of vegetables.
