THIS WEEKEND we are ALSO having a One Doorstep at a Time DIAPER DRIVE for Texas and Florida. If you have volunteered at an “ODAAT” before you know the Small Handers usually collect food donations. This time the Small Handers will be collecting diapers for those babies affected by Hurricane Harvey and Irma. See website and video below for more details.

THREE different days you can help in some way with this Compassion Mission.

Register on website to attend! Please email SHBHU to let us know what day/days you will be attending. DON”T FORGET TO WEAR YOUT SHBHU T-SHIRTS!

-Wednesday Sept 20th 2:45pm-3:45pm

Write letters to place on bags and bag preparation.

-Friday Sept 22nd 2:45pm-3:45pm

Help pass out bags in Host neighborhood by walking around the neighborhood and placing bags on front doorsteps with letter attached.

-Sunday Sept 24th 5:00pm-6:00pm

Walk the neighborhood and pick up any bags that are filled with diapers that have been placed on front doorsteps.

TWO DROP OFF LOCATIONS BELOW. Let us know if you can also be a drop off location in your neighborhood!

Jacob and Avery, would like to challenge all kids in the neighborhood (plus their parents and neighbors!) to help other kids out with Hurricane Harvey. They’ll be leaving a box outside our house (112 Primrose Lane, Carrboro, NC) this weekend to collect donations for the Texas Diaper Bank – they need diapers (bigger ones are great), pull-ups, and new or gently used baby blankets, small toys, and maybe some clothes. Below is a video these amazing Lead kiddos made with all the details! Check it out! If you live within a 10 mile radius of our house, we are also happy to schedule a pick-up. Their mother, Mira Brancu, can be contacted at or 919-360-1223. Alternatively, you can of course always donate directly – we just wanted to give kids a chance to get involved!
