We have contacted Woodland Terrace Senior Living Community, Cambridge Village of Apex Retirement Home here in Cary, NC and also the nonprofit Love for the Elderly (https://lovefortheelderly.org/letters) . LET"S CLEAN OUT OUR CLOSETS! Due to the increased risk of COVID19, one of our SHBHU nonprofit partners, Note in the Pocket, will be closed beginning on Monday, March 23. They will resume operations as soon as possible but during this time they will not be accepting donations. HOWEVER, they are asking we use this time to clean out our closets so we can help them as soon as they reopen! $100 raised so far! Another Compassion Missions being led by the Green Hope High School SHBHU club! UNC Rex hospital has spoken to these Ambassador leaders and they have given them instructions on what specifc medical supplies are needed most. They also have a contact to obtain these supplies at a discounted price and have raised $100 so far. Please help support this partnership in compassion by donating any amount. Join SHBHU on the third Sunday of every month serving meals with a smile to those experiencing homelessness in the Downtown Raleigh area. OCC is the result of many organizations working together in an effort to help close the hunger gap! SHBHU volunteers will bring food, drinks, take home snacks and paper products to help support the main meal. Volunteers arrive at OCC at 1:00pm to help set up the food line and we are usually finished cleaning up about 2:30pm. Join SHBHU for Kids Day at CPO Raleigh Food Pantry from 9:30-12:30. Volunteers will be sorting, re-packing , and or stocking food items to help prepare them for local families in need.
