Chapter Cheer at the Ronald McDonald House in Chapel Hill Story and Crafts with the siblings of the children who are in the hospital and possibly the children who are receiving care at the hospital too. The Ronald McDonald House has asked SHBHU to have no more than 6 people including parents at one time so that we can maintain flexibility and maintain a calm, relaxing atmosphere for the families staying there. Attending families will be responsible for story and follow craft. SHBHU can supply if needed.
Join SHBHU on the third Sunday of every month serving meals with a smile to those experiencing homelessness in the Downtown Raleigh area. OCOC is the result of many organizations working together in an effort to help close the hunger gap! SHBHU volunteers will bring food, drinks, and paper products to help support the main meal. Volunteers arrive at OCOC at 1:00pm to help set up the food line and we are usually finished cleaning up about 2:30pm. Join SHBHU at the Raleigh Food Pantry for Kids Day working in the warehouse sorting food, repacking, storing food items, or helping with the children's clothing area. Children must be accompanied by an adult and be 8 years old. When registering only include number of children, not adults. Email with any questions.
