Chapter Cheer at the Ronald McDonald House in Chapel Hill Story and Crafts with the siblings of the children who are in the hospital and possibly the children who are receiving care at the hospital too. The Ronald McDonald House has asked SHBHU to have no more than 6 people including parents at one time so that we can maintain flexibility and maintain a calm, relaxing atmosphere for the families staying there. Attending families will be responsible for story and follow craft. SHBHU can supply if needed.

Come and join SHBHU in this compassion mission to help serve meals to those in the Downtown Raleigh area at the Oak City Outreach Center (OCOC). OCOC is the outcome of the continual efforts to provide food assistance to individuals who are experiencing homelessness and/or lack of food on a daily basis in downtown Raleigh. Their goal is to help "close the hunger gap together." SHBHU has partnered with OCOC to help serve meals on the third Sunday of every month. Please arrive at 1:00 PM to help set up food that will be served from 1:30-2:15 and then clean […]

Small Hander Ava is leading an impactful Compassion Mission for the Oak City Outreach Center and needs your help! So far she has independently proposed, led and organized this thoughtful Compassion mission with ALREADY some FANTASTIC results! She was even able to get Whole Foods to donate 303 of the following to her cause: brown bags, KIND bars, water bottles and napkins. Ava and her team will be packing brown bag lunches and delivering them on Decemeber 26th to our friends at the Oak City Outreach Center. Message for more details! Great Job Small Hander Ava!

Join SHBHU on the third Sunday of every month serving meals with a smile to those experiencing homelessness in the Downtown Raleigh area. OCOC is the result of many organizations working together in an effort to help close the hunger gap! SHBHU volunteers will bring food, drinks, and paper products to help support the main meal. Volunteers arrive at OCOC at 1:00pm to help set up the food line and we are usually finished cleaning up about 2:30pm.
