Join SHBHU at the Raleigh Food Pantry for Kids Day working in the warehouse sorting food, repacking, storing food items, or helping with the children's clothing area. Children must be accompanied by an adult and be 8 years old. When registering, only include number of children volunteering (not adults). Email with any questions.

Chapter Cheer at the Ronald McDonald House in Chapel Hill Story and Crafts with the siblings of the children who are in the hospital and possibly the children who are receiving care at the hospital too. The Ronald McDonald House has asked SHBHU to have no more than 6 people including parents at one time so that we can maintain flexibility and maintain a calm, relaxing atmosphere for the families staying there. Attending families will be responsible for story and follow craft. SHBHU can supply if needed.

OCOC is the outcome of the continual efforts to provide food assistance to individuals who are experiencing homelessness and/or lack of food on a daily basis in downtown Raleigh. Their goal is to help "close the hunger gap together." SHBHU has partnered with OCOC to help serve meals on the third Sunday of every month. We are so excited about the 3rd annual SHBHU Small Hands Big Hearts Java Jive Jog 10k/5k! For two years we have partnered with Java Jive to organize this FUN fundraiser. THIS WEEKEND we are ALSO having a One Doorstep at a Time DIAPER DRIVE for Texas and Florida. If you have volunteered at an "ODAAT" before you know the Small Handers usually collect food donations. This time the Small Handers will be collecting diapers for those babies affected by Hurricane Harvey and Irma.
