Story and Crafts with the siblings of the children who are in the hospital and possibly the children who are receiving care at the hospital too. The Ronald McDonald House has asked SHBHU to have no more than 6 people including parents at one time so that we can maintain flexibility and maintain a calm, relaxing atmosphere for the families staying there. Attending families will be responsible for story and follow craft. SHBHU can supply if needed.

Come and join SHBHU in this compassion mission to help serve meals to those in the Downtown Raleigh area at the Oak City Outreach Center (OCOC). OCOC is the outcome of the continual efforts to provide food assistance to individuals who are experiencing homelessness and/or lack of food on a daily basis in downtown Raleigh. Their goal is to help "close the hunger gap together." SHBHU has partnered with OCOC to help serve meals on the third Sunday of every month. We need help distributing the UNIQUE and KIND bags the Small Handers and Ambassadors made by hanging them on doorknobs in the Host Family's neighborhood. Join SHBHU at the Raleigh Food Pantry for Kids Day working in the warehouse sorting food, repacking, storing food items, or helping with the children's clothing area. Children must be accompanied by an adult and be 8 years old. Email with any questions. When registering, only include number of children (not adults) volunteering.
