Quarterly Welcome Compassion Meetings SHBHU will have A Welcome Compassion Meetings every 3 months (quarterly) starting in January 2017 at one of our In Kind Facility Sponsors. We need help distributing the UNIQUE and KIND bags the Small Handers and Ambassadors made last night by hanging them on doorknobs in the Host Family's neighborhood THIS FRIDAY! Story and Crafts with the siblings of the child who is in the hospital and possibly the children who are receiving care at the hospital too. The Ronald McDonald House has asked SHBHU to have no more than 6 people including parents at one time so that we can maintain flexibility and maintain a calm, relaxing atmosphere for the families staying there. Attending families will be responsible for bringing crafts, craft supplies, and books.

Come and join SHBHU in this compassion mission to help serve meals to those in the Downtown Raleigh area at the Oak City Outreach Center (OCOC). OCOC is the outcome of the continual efforts to provide food assistance to individuals who are experiencing homelessness and/or lack of food on a daily basis in downtown Raleigh. Their goal is to help "close the hunger gap together." SHBHU has partnered with OCOC to help serve meals on the third Sunday of every month. New Address as of Tuesday Oct 18th for the Food Bank of Central and Eastern NC1924 Capital Blvd Raleigh NC  Come and join SHBHU at the Food Bank of Eastern and Central North Carolina for Kids Day from 2-4PM! This day is designed specifically so that children can participate and learn how the Food Bank helps those in need throughout the triangle. Veterans Day approaching! Does your Small Hander have too much candy leftover from Halloween? Donate your leftovers to the military! Operation Eagle in Morrisville will include them in care packages being sent overseas. All Small Handers you have until 3:00pm TOMORROW to drop off candy!
