    Story and Craft with the siblings of the child who is in the hospital and possibly the children who are receiving care at the hospital too. The Ronald McDonald House has asked SHBHU to have no more than 6 people including parents at one time so that we can maintain flexibility and maintain a calm, relaxing atmosphere for the families staying there. We have had a great success so far with the first two events and the children there are really enjoying hanging out with our small handers.

    SHBHU welcomes family, Small Handers and Ambassadors to our monthly meeting. Ambassadors and Small Handers will meet separately to discuss past events and to plan upcoming ones. All attendees are encouraged to speak freely and contribute in ways they feel comfortable. The SHBHU monthly meeting is held on the 4th Thursday of each month.

  • Inter-Faith Food Shuttle Field Gleaning

    Calvary Chapel Raleigh - 7710 Chapel Hill Rd, Raleigh, NC 27607

    Join SHBHU and help the Inter-Faith Food Shuttle through Field Gleaning.  This project will be harvesting excess and unmarketable produce at a local farm, which will be distributed to community members in need. Gleaning takes about 2-3 hours and includes harvesting and hauling produce. The local farm will be determined the week before and can be up to a 45 mile drive from the Raleigh area. An online waiver will be sent out once you register. Closed toes shoes required.
