Triangle Families, We are very excited to announce the 8th annual SHBHU Small Hands Big Hearts Java Jive Jog 10k/5k on September 14th 2023!  For 8 years, we have partnered with Java Jive Coffee and Tea to organize this FUN race. Ambassadors would like to know if you can help pack and decorate these breakfast bags for our Senior Citizens in need who are connected to our friends at Meals on Wheels. We need donations which you can order at the SHBHU AMAZON wish list link below, you can volunteer to pack and decorate bags in your own home or you can volunteer to deliver the bags to Meals on Wheels when they are completed.  We will be having another Compassion Meeting in May to pack and decorate bags as well.  We also need a Delivery Family to volunteer to bring bags to MOW in Raleigh on July 18th Please contact us if interested at

Join SHBHU on the fourth Sunday of every month serving meals with a smile to those experiencing homelessness in the Downtown Raleigh area. OCC is the result of many organizations working together in an effort to help close the hunger gap! SHBHU volunteers will bring food, drinks, take home snacks and paper products to help support those in need. We typically serve about 200 meals during this time. Volunteers arrive at OCC at 12:00pm to help set up the food line and we are usually finished cleaning up about 2:30pm. Volunteers will receive an email a couple days prior with […]

SHBHU "Bookshelves of Love" Compassion Mission  The SHBHU Ambassadors have now built20 bookshelves!!!  They are interested in building MORE bookshelves during 2025 for our compassion mission with Habitat for Humanity and Read and Feed. We are waiting to hear back from Habitat for Humanity on the dates of the next home dedications. Read and Feed has ALSO now received 8 bookshelves as well and is very excited to partner with us in compassion missions in 2025. Stay tuned for more updates on this exciting mission! Let us know if you want to help continue to grow this mission as well over the upcoming holidays and into 2025!
