Bring Matthew Recovery Donations to Cary Fire Stations this Weekend
This Saturday’s open house event at all Town of Cary Fire Stations will additionally serve as donation drop spots to benefit those impacted by Hurricane Matthew. Specifically, the following personal hygiene and cleaning supplies will be accepted:
• Hand sanitizer
• Body soap
• Toothpaste
• Toothbrushes
• Razors
• Toilet paper
• Shaving cream
• Shampoo
• Conditioner
• Diapers
• Baby wipes
• Feminine products
• Disinfection wipes
• Paper towels
• Rubber gloves
• Large trash bags
• Scrub brushes/sponges
Citizens unable to make Saturday’s open house event may also bring donations to any Cary Fire Station on Sunday, October 16. On Monday, all donated goods will be delivered to the NC Baptist Men’s Regional Distribution Center in Red Springs, located just outside of Lumberton. Monetary donations should be made at www.ncdisasterrelief.org.

The Food Bank of Central & Eastern NC, Second Harvest Food Bank of Fayetteville and ABC 11
The Food Bank of Central & Eastern NC, Second Harvest Food Bank of Fayetteville and ABC 11 are helping get food to those in need. There will be a Hurricane Relief Food Drive on Tuesday, Oct. 18 at all three ABC11 newsrooms, at 411 Liberty St., in Durham, 319 Fayetteville St., Suite 107 in Raleigh, and 201 Hay St., Suite 101B in Fayetteville.
You can drop off donations between 6 a.m. and 7 p.m.
Or, you can donate directly to the Food Bank online through its virtual food drive or drop off food at any of its six branch locations.
